Comenzamos la ruta en la estación de servicio de El Robledo incorporándonos a la Vía Verde Sierra de Alcaraz - Camino de Cortes. Conti-nuamos por la vía y tras recorrer unos 4 Km realizaremos la parada para almorzar en un área de recreo, frente a la aldea de El Cubillo.
Tras recorrer los últimos 4 Km, concluimos la ruta en el municipio de los Chospes.
La Vía de la Sierra de Alcaráz, de 106´150 kms. de longitud, recupera como Vía Verde el trazado ferroviario en desuso de la antigua línea Baeza-Utiel, en el tramo que discurre desde la ciudad de Albacete hasta el límite entre el término municipal de Alcaráz con el término provincial de Jaén. Esta infraestructura reparte sus 106,150 kms. entre 10 municipios: Albacete, La Herrera, Balazote, Casas de Lázaro, Robledo, Alcaráz, Vianos, Salobre, Villapalacios yBienservida. Ésta iniciativa comenzó en 1993, permitiendo su uso a cualquier viajero, sin limitaciones de edad o condición física.
El tramo que vamos a recorrer, discurre junto a choperas y el río Jardín, entre terraplenes, túneles y trincheras por un paisaje rural. Se alternan las sabinas, encinas, enebros y las dehesas con los campos de labor. La zona es rica en cultivos de cereales, plantas aromáticas, almendro, nogal, ajo y cebollas. Se atraviesan igualmente zonas dedi-cadas a la ganadería , mientras la industria agroalimentaria aparece diversificada en toda la línea.
En el entorno cárstico y cerca de la zona podemos encontrar la Laguna de los Ojos de Villaverde, de gran importancia por su diversidad biológica y lugar óptimo para las aves.
También cerca de allí podemos encontrar la Laguna del Arquillo, declarada mo-numento natural en el año 2000, donde el viajero puede observar el espléndido paisaje.
We started the route in the service station Robledo incorporating us into the Greenway Sierra de Alcaraz - Camino de Cortes. Conti-nuamos by the route and after about 4km we will stop for lunch at a picnic area, opposite the village of El Cubillo.
After crossing the last 4 km, we completed the route in the town of Chospes.
The Way of the Sierra de Alcaraz, from 106'150 kms. length, Greenway recovered as the disused railway line from the old line-Utiel Baeza, in the section that runs from the city of Albacete to the limit between the town of Alcaraz with the provincial term of Jaen. This infrastructure distributes its 106.150 kms. 10 municipalities: Albacete, La Herrera, balazote, Lazarus House, Robledo, Alcaraz, Viana, Salobre, Villapalacios yBienservida. This initiative began in 1993, allowing its use to any traveler, no age limitations or fitness.
The section we are going to go, poplar and runs along the Garden River between embankments, tunnels and trenches by a rural landscape. Junipers, oaks, junipers and pastures with farm fields alternate. The area is rich in cereal crops, herbs, almond, walnut, garlic and onions. Dedi-ed to livestock areas are also experiencing while diversified agribusiness appears across the line.
In the karst and surroundings near the area we can find the Laguna de los Ojos de Villaverde, of great importance for biological diversity and optimal place for birds.
Also nearby you can find Laguna Arquillo declared monu- mo-Natural in 2000, where the traveler can see the beautiful landscape.
